Tratamiento informativo sobre la minería ilegal en el Parque Nacional Los Farallones de Cali, a partir del análisis del periódico El País

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo se enfoca en una aproximación al tratamiento informativo frente la problemática ambiental de la minería ilegal en el Parque Natural Nacional los Farallones de Cali del Diario el País, en un intervalo de tres meses, que se divide así junio, julio del año 2018 y octubre del año 2021. En total se analizaron cinco muestras, ya que fueron las encontradas en los meses mencionados. Para el desarrollo del proyecto se recurrió a la metodología de investigación cualitativa, acompañada de algunos de sus enfoques, los cuales sirvieron para poder conocer esta situación de manejo periodístico de este diario sobre la minería ilegal en el parque natural antes citado. En la investigación se acudió a autores con experiencia en el análisis de las noticias y en la definición de métodos de interpretación de noticias; esto permitió un acercamiento más concreto y sustentado sobre la forma como el diario El País, en su momento, estructuró sus noticias y trató su información sobre lo ocurrido con la minería ilegal en este territorio natural protegido. En este abordaje metodológico, se resalta que se realizaron entrevistas a periodistas expertos en su profesión, que contribuyeron al análisis, permitieron acceder a información que aportó al entendimiento sobre el tratamiento periodístico realizado. Uno de los resultados que vale la pena mencionar, producto de lo hallado y de lo inferido en el desarrollo de este trabajo, es que al diario El País le faltó profundizar más en la investigación e informes relacionados con la minería ilegal en el Parque Natural Nacional los Farallones. Es decir, el tratamiento realizado en la mayoría de las noticias se podría afirmar, requirió de un poco más de investigación y profundización, teniendo en cuenta la importancia que tiene este hecho para algunas comunidades, para algunas entidades y en general para los ciudadanos que se preocupan por el medio ambiente.

The following work focuses on an approach to the informative treatment against the environmental problem of illegal mining in the National Natural Park Los Farallones de Cali of the Diario el País, in an interval of three months, which is divided as follows: June, July of the year 2018 and October 2021. In total, five samples were analyzed, since they were the ones found in the mentioned months. For the development of the project, the qualitative research methodology was used, accompanied by some of its approaches, which served to be able to know this situation of journalistic management of this newspaper about illegal mining in the aforementioned natural park. Authors with experience in news analysis and in defining news interpretation methods were used in the research; This allowed a more concrete and sustained approach to the way in which the newspaper El País, at the time, structured its news and examined its information on what happened with illegal mining in this protected natural territory. In this methodological approach, it is highlighted that interviews were conducted with expert journalists in their profession, who contributed to the analysis, allowed access to information that contributed to the understanding of the journalistic treatment carried out. One of the results that is worth mentioning, as a result of what was found and what was inferred in the development of this work, is that the newspaper El País lacked more depth in the investigation and reports related to illegal mining in the National Natural Park. The Farallones. That is to say, the treatment carried out in most of the news, it could be affirmed, required a little more investigation and deepening, taking into account the importance that this fact has for some communities, for some entities and in general for the citizens who they care about the environment
