The traditional expository teaching methodology used by teachers in the Fundamental Mathematics subject of the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente is a problem when capturing the attention of students since some of the topics generate difficulty and this is perceived by teachers, especially in the third and last thematic axis: functions family, because students cannot satisfactorily analyze and interpret these functions in a specific context. This is reflected in the number of students who failed or cancel the Fundamental Mathematics course, evidenced in the 2018-03 period where approximately 22% of students did not pass the course. In this regard, the document describes the research process through which the FunMath interactive system has been developed, which aims to support the teaching of the functions family theme within the framework of the Fundamental Mathematics course of the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente. This research describes the process that was carried out for the design and implementation of the FunMath interactive system where a multimedia experience is displayed in which teachers and students are involved in the realization of a real-life context focused on the subject functions family, with the intention that by carrying out this exercise the teacher can have statistical feedback on the status of their students on said subject. This document also presents information related to the subject of study, background, objectives of the system, and the definition of the target audience, with the respective documentation of what the needs of the said audience are. Additionally, the system requirements and documentation of the development process stages are presented, where the evolution of the interfaces made of the FunMath interactive system can be seen. This evolution was presented thanks to the development of the different user tests that were carried out following the methodology proposed with the UserCentered Design approach
