In the last years, Colombia has lived an increasing use and penetration of internet due to connection cost and hardware price reductions, and so, to the varied Web access options. In this framework, from the Productivity and Competiveness Research Group at Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, the project called “SME virtual collaborative enterprise-Modeling and architecture” has been developed that encompasses the cataloging of the enterprise reality of the virtual sme enterprise collaborative focus. This article presents the collaborative perception in virtual environments of a pilot case in particular, for the client – sme enterprise couple in the scheme of supply chain, using the “win – win” premise, under the coverage of all the available Web technology. The proposed hypothesis is stated in order to establish the intention of all clients with internet access, to set an interdependent linkage with their specialized products and services supplier, under the coverage of a virtual collaboration model in its field of specialty. The analysis of statistical information and related studies in conjunction with data obtained in the pilot SME, revealed positive predisposition in the group of clients; not only by getting benefits under a virtual collaborating environment but also by providing information and experience that translates in benefits to the connected community.
The SMES must incorporate among their development strategies, the use of communication platforms with customers and suppliers, in order to take advantage of available icts (information and communication technologies), under the assumption that this platform does have to answer specifically to the needs of chaining in accord with the possibilities of all the associates
