Through several questions, this essay tries to settle a new university role: Is this institution seeking, searching and thinking about the complex relations between the knowledge of the knowledge society and the labors of the market society? Should the university afford as is own the structural and strategic task of designing and formulating social alternative projects, to the hegemonic market model?
The main objective of this essay is to sketch, in a general way, some elements that are present in the subjectively teaching dimension. Not to exhaust the theme is a deliberate intention; and it is due to its complex character; because the relation between teacher’s individual being and the social experience of his profession is more an intimate seeking than an external analysis inventory to his own sensibility. The proposal
is build from an ethic perspective. This must be under stood as our own ability to reflex on our life models. This approach is ended with a brief description of the challenges that these new pedagogical practices represent to the university teacher’s ethic sensibility.
