dc.description.abstractLa globalización ha desdibujado las barreras entre los países, los negocios ahora están abiertos a diferentes entornos culturales, políticos, económicos, sociales, entre otros (Kedia y Mukherji, 1999, Srinivas, 1995). La apertura económica ha cambiado la gestión de las organizaciones de tal forma que los gerentes se enfrentan a retos globales y a la multiculturalidad, lo cual exige de ellos la capacidad de influir en diferentes escenarios y personas de diversas culturas (Bikson, Treverton, Moini y Lindstrom, 2003 y Jadivan y Bowen, 2013). Esto ha ocasionado que adquiera importancia el desarrollo y fortalecimiento de la mentalidad global en los gerentes. Teniendo en cuenta este nuevo fenómeno y su impacto en las competencias de los nuevos gerentes, las universidades hacen grandes esfuerzos por generar en los estudiantes una mentalidad global que les permita desenvolverse en entornos globales. Por esta razón, en esta investigación se mide el grado de mentalidad global de estudiantes de primer y último semestre de Administración de Empresas de la Fundación Universitaria Católica Lumen Gentium – UNICATÓLICA con el ánimo de ofrecer a las universidades un insumo que les permita validar, ajustar, revaluar o rediseñar las actividades de Internacionalización y la propuesta de valor en temas internacionales para formar profesionales globalesspa
