The body-weight suspension system is used to analyze gait in patients with any physical disability in lower limbs, it is a structure of biomechanical behavior that allows the capture of 3D movement of the patient that has an equilibrium loss. This device can support the patients with the aid of a harness during the gait analysis test and allows the usage of third party devices such as treadmills in which certain factors can be controlled such as velocity, and tilt levels, making the patients work hard on the test. For the design of the device the Ulrich and Ogrodnik methodology was used and subsequently a selection process was discussing and the chosen one was "BodyWeigSys", at which a CAD modeling was made in SolidWorks, in which the materials used it can be found iron a36 and stainless steel. Finally, after the simulation and modeling od the device it was subject to static force analysis in which torsion levels, displacement and deformation where evaluated. This lead to simulating the security factor of the device and comparing it to the requirement of the ISO 10535 of 2006 to ensure that the structure represents no harm for the patients and meets the functions it was design for in an efficient and effective matter
