Territorial competitiveness is understood as the greater knowledge and use of local potential that will allow the municipalities that make up the Pacific Region of Colombia to create sustainable economic, social, environmental, cultural and institutional synergies towards the future, which will result in the improvement of the quality of life of the total population. (Aponte, et al., 2017).
Therefore, at a territorial level it is important to characterize the municipalities of Pradera in the Cauca Valley and El Tambo in Cauca, to identify their strengths and weaknesses, with the aim of generating territorial development and competitiveness strategies, framed within the five dimensions of development: cultural, social, economic, institutional and environmental, in order to find potential within the municipality, in order to generate improvements in the quality of life of the population
