Modelo de ruteo para la recolección de tapas plásticas como apoyo a la labor social de la Fundación Carlos Portela

Abstract

The present work of degree consisted in the development of a routing plan for the logistics process of collection of plastic covers of the Carlos Portela Foundation in the city of Cali in order to minimize transportation costs and support the name of the foundation, which is to help children diagnosed with cancer, through the collection of plastic caps in different parts of the city of Cali. The research problem developed in this document involves engineering tools such as operations research, selection matrix and is based on quantitative knowledge such as logistics and modeling, heuristics and heuristic goals, decision making, algorithms, and location of points in geographical coordinates of the city; for the construction of a routing model in which the variables and parameters are related to meet the constraints of a real environment to meet the demand placed on the collection points. This in order to contribute to the service of the foundation, the knowledge in industrial engineering that allows them to minimize transport costs, avoid over-allocation of tasks to the staff and help the community of the city of Cali in the management of the recycling of lids plastic
