Actualización de los procesos de gestión de mantenimiento de los equipos biomédicos en el hospital Francisco de Paula Santander

Abstract

In the Francisco de Paula Santander Hospital, the need to improve the maintenance management processes of the biomedical equipment was identified, through the development of new preventive maintenance protocols, in accordance with Decree 4725 of 2005, the new project of resolution and other rules regarding maintenance of biomedical equipment. For the fulfillment of this, the head of maintenance of the Hospital, provided all the necessary information for the development of the project; Among the information found, it was compiled and updated, manuals, inventory of equipment and the resumes of these, among others. 17 biomedical technologies were selected under the model of Fennigkoh and Smith, later, it was identified that the hospital has 38 teams per brand and model of the selected technologies. From this, we proceeded to look for the respective service manuals and maintenance procedures of recognized organizations such as ECRI, among others. With the information obtained, 17 procedures and 38 records of preventive maintenance were prepared. For the validation of the content of these documents, a format of validation, socialization and field trips was made with the new registration forms and procedures to the maintenance manager and technical staff. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that the new registration forms and procedures are more complete and have a clear and technical structure, which allows the engineer or technical staff to perform an adequate and complete preventive maintenance, thus achieving biomedical equipment that the hospital has, are more reliable and safe.
